Each entity provided their budget and funding request to The Shark Fund at the start of the year and this set The Shark Fund's fundraising goals. The Shark Fund meets with the booster clubs 6X/year to adjust budgets as needs arise or funding adjustments are required.

Our grant commitments to the boosters this year are $375,000.
The Shark Fund Board works diligently to reduce overhead expenses as much as possible and to find sponsors to offset costs.
The Malibu Education Foundation funds staff and staffed programs across all four Malibu schools for the long-term, while The Shark Fund is focused on funding our booster clubs (stuff) at Malibu Middle and High School for the current year.

This grant is for special initiatives, which surface in year and could be funded if The Shark Fund is successful with fundraising. Last year, this included the weight room renovation with ABC, PCH Safety Week with PTSA, and the launch of the arts with Arts Angels..
