Who We Are

Established 2003, The Shark Fund is the primary fundraising for Malibu Middle and High School, financially supporting the great work of the PTSA, Athletic Booster Club and Arts Angels to provide our students with a robust academic, arts and athletics community.  

Every penny of your tax-deductible donation to The Shark Fund stays Malibu Middle and Malibu High School. 

The Shark Fund Board is a team of volunteer parents interested in improving the school experience for all Malibu students.   The board is elected each June, and all board members select a Board Committee on which to serve.   Throughout the year, anyl parent can volunteer to help support the efforts of The Shark Fund.

Meet our 2023-24 board below.

Each board member serves on one board committee, which meet as needed throughout the year, and there is a standing committee which includes the presidents of all the groups The Shark Fund funds and meets 6X a year:

1. Resource Committee is responsible for fundraising activities.
2. The Finance Committee manages all financial operations of The Shark Fund.
3. The Governance Committee ensures The Shark Fund operates according to the governing documents.
4. The Needs Assessment Committee includes presidents from PTSA, Athletic Booster Club, Arts Angels as well as an administration representative and meets 6X each year to ensure the needs of the school and fundraising efforts are aligned.
